The new Juniors Grappling League medals
Featured Announcement 21 August 2026

Check Out Our New Medals

The 2026 medal design has landed — heavier, deeper, and finished in gold, silver and bronze.

Every podium finisher this season takes home the new Juniors Grappling League medal, produced with Titan Sports. The castle crest sits raised on an enamel shield, with the league name wrapped around the ring and a full-colour ribbon carrying the Juniors mark.

Gi and No-Gi podiums are both covered, so anyone entering two divisions has two chances at taking one home. The same design runs in gold, silver and bronze — a third place looks as considered as a first.

Medals are handed out on the day, at the mat, rather than posted on afterwards. Bring a phone for the podium photo.

Jack Cassidy Defends His Title

The open weight belt stays with Jack Cassidy after his latest outing in the Super Fight Series.

Cassidy went into the bout as champion and came out of it the same way, holding his place at the top of the Super Fight rankings.

The Super Fight format leaves nowhere to hide. There are no points, no time limit and no judges — the match ends by submission or it does not end. Competitors agree to the terms beforehand, constant engagement is expected, and stalling draws verbal warnings from the referee before a disqualification.

One super fight takes place at each Adults Grappling League event. Absolute division winners qualify automatically, and the second-ranked contender can call for the title.

New tiered spectator benches
Facilities 3 August 2026

New Benches for Spectators

Tiered seating is now in place mat-side for parents, coaches and teammates.

Standing room was the most common thing families raised with us last season. A full day of matches is a long time on your feet, and the people at the back could rarely see the mat their child was on.

The new tiered benches give spectators a clear view without crowding the competition area, which keeps the space around each mat clear for competitors, coaches and referees.

They roll away between events, so the floor is free for warm-ups and the room can be reset quickly between the Juniors and Adults days.

New warm-up mats with the league crest
Facilities 23 July 2026

New Warm Up Mats

A dedicated warm-up area now sits alongside the competition mats.

Competitors no longer have to find a corner to move in before their bracket is called. The new matted area carries the league crest and gives athletes room to drill, stretch and get moving while matches run on the competition mats.

There is space for coaches to work alongside their athletes, which matters most in the twenty minutes before a bracket starts — the point where a proper warm-up makes the difference.

It also keeps the walkways clear. Fewer people warming up in doorways means brackets get called and started on time.

The new acai and snack stand
Event Day 9 July 2026

New Acai + Snack Stand

Acai bowls, protein bars and cold drinks are now available on event days.

Long competition days need food that doesn't sit heavy before a match. Competitors are often at the venue from doors open until late afternoon, and the options nearby are limited.

The stand serves Amazon Superberry acai bowls alongside collagen and protein bars, with cold drinks, and runs from doors open through to the last bracket of the day.

Prices are kept deliberately low, in line with the rest of our events. Card and cash both work.
